Composer LabFest 4: Writing for Mallet Quartet (2 marimbas & 2 vibraphones)

For composers of college age and beyond.

The Coley Artist Practicum

For marimba & keyboard percussion performers (beginner to advanced).

Tuition:

  • $850 (includes non-refundable $75 registration fee) to attend either CLF4 or CAP

  • $1300 (includes non-refundable $75 registration fee) to attend both CLF4 & CAP in a joint track of performer and composer

  • Self-paced payment plan:

    • Registration fee is due between Jan 19 and April 15 (CLF) or May 15 (CAP)

    • Half of tuition is due: May 1 (CLF) & June 1 (CAP)

    • Final tuition payment is due: June 15 (CLF) & July 1 (CAP)

  • Cancellation: A request must be received by June 1 to ensure the return of your tuition payment (less website/processing fees). The $75 registration fee is non-refundable.

– Housing Policy - Housing is the responsibility of the participant. However, HM will make suggestions to find options for housing, including AirBnB, homestays, hotels, etc.

– CLF4 Scholarships: There is a limited number of scholarships available to students on a first-come, first-served basis.

– CAP Work-study Apprenticeship: In exchange for Heartland Marimba administrative assistance, scholarships are available. Please reach out.

– Registration will open on January 19, 2026, and will close April 15 for CLF4 and May 15 for CAP.
